Earring hooks are silver or gold plated (lead and nickel-free). I spray the earring hooks with anti tarnishing jewellery spray to prolong their wear and make them suitable for those with sensitive ears.

Earring hooks are also available in sterling silver which I recommend for those with particularly sensitive ears or metal allergies. Please let me know if you would like this option when placing your order as there will be an additional charge for the sterling silver earring hooks.


I always want to be transparent with my customers so please note that the jewellery I sell is costume jewellery and as such the chains unless stated as being stainless steel or silver are gold/ silver plated. I spray the jewellery with an anti tarnishing spray before posting, but there are also a few tips you can follow in order to protect and prolong the life of your costume jewellery.

Avoid contact with aerosol sprays & lotions. This includes your hair products, lotions and perfume! Avoid wearing in the shower, when you sleep or when working out.
Try not to store it in humid places, like the bathroom. Separate your jewellery by metal and type. Try using a stackable Jewellery organizer or something like drawer compartments to keep your pieces organized and separate. Make sure to keep costume Jewellery separate from semi-fine and fine jewellery to prevent tarnishing.
